It's been about 5000 years that we celebrate "Nowrouz" in the first momment of springs in IRAN. "Nowrouz" means new day and Our calendar starts at this momment of springs.
"HAFTSIN" is a historical tradition means "SEVEN S"! We collect 7 things that their name begins with "S" on the table! And they are:
"Seeb" = Apple
"Sabzeh" = Green Grass
"Somaq" = kind of spice
"Serkeh" = Vinegar
"Seer" = Garlic
"Samanou" = Kind of food that made with milk and wheat and sugar and ...
"Sekkeh" = Coins
And for more beauty beside "HAFTSIN" we use another things like mirror , red fish , flowers and shining candle and colored eggs.

We blieve that we must be faithful and happy in this momment and what ever we do and think in this changing momment of nature, will be with us for the rest of the year. So I was painting this cow in that momment! I wish to have a year full of painting!

And about cow as you know there is a 12 years period that comes from eastern cultures and says this year is the cow year. I combined it with NOWROUZ and thats what you see and hope you like it. Texts are written in persian. They say : Stay away from my way! and Happy new year.
